There is no doubt that for this ride you will need to a do a little bit of training, especially if this is the first time that you have jumped on a bike in while. There is world of information out there about training, what to do, how to do it, but sometimes this can seem a bit daunting.

British Cycling Training Plans

8 Week – Sofa to 50Km Plan – Ideal for the complete cycling novice who is currently sedentary and is looking to start cycling for health, fitness, recreation, commuting or to tackle a challenge or charity ride.

12 Week – Improver Training Plan – Suitable for a variety of cyclists with the common end goal of completing a 60-mile sportive or ride. To start the plan, you should be capable of riding for 90 minutes.
